LONDON TRAVEL DIARY – DAY 4

Hey everybody,
today we had a beautiful day in London. It was sunny so we could spend a lot of time outside. We drove to the Westminster Bridge. This is a great place to take photos because there are the Big Ben, Houses of Parliament and the London Eye. Afterwards we walked along the Thames. The South Bank walk is great to see a lot of landmarks and to take photos. Usually I walk from the Big Ben to the Tower of London but this takes some time. Along the walk is the Tate Modern. This is a modern art museum and like most of the other museums free to visit. It is my favourite museum and always worth to check it out. If you take the elevator to the 10th floor you get an awesome view over the city.

On the other side of the river is the St. Paul’s Cathedral. So we walked over the Millennium Bridge to the Cathedral. For lunch we took a bus to the Liverpool Street Station and walked to the Brick Lane. There we had delicious indian food. Afterwards we walked to the Whitechapel Gallery because it was the meeting point for our street art free walking tour. There are many free walking tours in London and after the tour you can pay how much you think it was worth. In Brick Lane and in this area of London is a lot of street art from little figures to huge paintings several stories high. During a street art tour you can learn a lot about the story behind the different art pieces.

In the evening we decided to see the total opposite site of London and visited Harrods. This is a huge department store with tons of luxury goods.

London has so many different sides but all of them are great.
