this morning we visited Cathedral of Saint Mary of the Flower. The Renaissance dome is located in Piazza del Duomo. The cathedral opens at 10am and I recommend you to come around 20min early because there was a long queue. Afterwards we walked to the nearby market. I visited this market on my first day. There is the Mercato Centrale and Mercato di San Lorenzo. The first one offers a huge variety of food on two floors inside. The second one is outside and there are several stands with bags and accessories. This market is perfect for shopping and keep in mind that it is possible to negotiate prices. Then we had delicious ice cream at Venchi.
Next we took a bus tour through the city. There are a lot of small streets so the public transport has special small busses for these routes. A ticket costs between 1,20-2€ and lasts for 90min. For dinner we visited Mangia Pizza again. They have so delicious pizza for 7-10€. One of my favourite things are sunsets so I decided to walk to Piazzale Michelangelo again.
I have been there yesterday and the view over the city is stunning. It is the perfect place to see a sunset.
Tonight it was one of the most beautiful sunsets I have ever seen.
Afterwards I walked through the city by night.
All the lights were on and there were many great musicians on the street.
This was such a fabulous last evening in Florence. Tomorrow we are already leaving for Munich.
this morning I woke up early so that I could take some photos without many people inside. It wasn’t that crowded but there were still many people at the sightseeing sports.
Afterwards we walked around and looked for a bridge where we could take photos.
Following we went to Giardini Pubblici.
This is a beautiful park next to the water. The weather was fabulous so we enjoyed the sun.
Then we had a beautiful walk along the sea to Piazza San Marco.
There we visited the church. Especially the ceiling is impressive with beautiful golden paintings.
Following we walked to San Polo and visited some shops there.
After dinner in the apartment I walked to the sea to see the sunset.
Sunsets are one of my favourite things and to see one in Venice was on my bucket list. Then I walked to Piazza San Marco again and had a beautiful walk by night along the sea.
I love to walk through a city by night because all the lights make it more special. This was a great day in Venice and tomorrow we are already leaving for Munich.
waking up in Paris is always amazing. I woke up and saw a blue sky and the sun was shining so I decided to spend my day outside. For breakfast I bought a croissant from a bakery and walked to the Place Dauphine on the Île de la Cité.
Then I walked through the 6th arrondissement Saint-Germain-des-Prés. The Place de Furstenberg is so pretty and perfect to take some photos.
Then I walked along some streets to the Jardin du Luxembourg. This garden is so beautiful and my favourite one in Paris. I sat next to the water and enjoyed the amazing weather.
Then I walked in the direction of the Eiffel Tower. In a bakery I bought a sandwich and dessert and had lunch on the Champs de Mars with a stunning view at the Eiffel Tower. In the neighbourhood is the Musée Rodin so I visited the museum. The museum is a little palace with a beautiful garden. Rodin is an awesome sculptor and it is impressive to see the huge sculptures.
Afterwards I walked to the Pont Alexandre III and along the Seine back to my apartment. In the evening I met a friend and we enjoyed the evening on the Printemps rooftop terrace.
At 8pm we had a beautiful view at the sparkling Eiffel Tower.
Today I took the TGV from Munich to Paris. At noon I arrived in Paris so I had still a half day. The weather was amazing so after check-in I decided to walk around. The apartment is in the 2. arrondissement so the location is great. My first stop was l’As du Fallafel (34 Rue des Rosiers) in the Marais this is a restaurant where you can eat Fallafel. Since my first trip to Paris I visit the restaurant every single time and I recommend you to check it out.
For eating I walked to a pretty square (Jardin des Rosiers-Joseph-Migneret) in the Rue de Roisier. I love the little squares all around Paris. There are perfect to make a break and to eat. This is so much more affordable than to go inside the restaurants. Afterwards I walked to the Île Saint-Louis and to the Île de la Cité. The Notre Dame is located there and the church has a beautiful garden as well.
Then I walked to the Hôtel de Ville and visited some shops along the Rue de Rivoli.
In the evening I met a friend, we walked around and enjoyed the beautiful sunset from the Pont des Arts.
